What an Inside Sales Rep role at ICONIX looks like:

  • Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing solutions, and delivering exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Manage customer orders, quotes, and project inquiries from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Partner with Outside Sales Representatives and branch leadership to identify opportunities, grow existing accounts, and support new business development.
  • Recommend products and solutions that help customers complete projects safely, efficiently, and successfully.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact, resolving questions, solving problems, and creating a positive customer experience.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment where collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement drive success.

You'll support customer accounts by delivering exceptional service, responding to their needs, and providing solutions that help them succeed. In a sometimes, fast-paced environment, you'll manage multiple priorities, communicate confidently, and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.

 

Success in this role comes from being dependable, responsive, and taking ownership of your work. You'll collaborate with customers, teammates, and sales partners to create positive experiences and support business growth. During slower periods, you'll look for opportunities to support the team. Whether that means assisting in the warehouse, following up with customers, or stepping in wherever needed to keep the business moving forward.

 

Experience in construction, utilities, waterworks, industrial distribution, or related industries is a plus, but more important are a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Comfort using computers, business software, and learning new technology.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
  • The ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
