Position Overview
The Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative supports B2B customers including lighting showrooms, electrical distributors, designers, and architects. This role focuses on customer service, sales support, quotations, order management, and account development.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of inside sales and customer service experience in a B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Support
- Answer customer inquiries via phone and email
- Cold call and email prospective customers
- Support showroom programs, displays, and project sales
- Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities
- Assist outside sales representatives and regional managers
Quoting & Order Management
- Prepare quotations and process orders
- Confirm pricing, lead times, and shipping details
- Monitor open orders and provide status updates
- Maintain pricing and account policies
Customer Service
- Provide prompt and professional customer support
- Resolve order and product issues
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain CRM records and account activity
- Track quotations, opportunities, and sales pipeline
- Provide weekly reports and updates
- Keep customer and showroom documentation organized
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of inside sales and customer service experience
- Experience supporting B2B sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
