Inside Account Manager - Electrical Parts Wholesale

Viking Electric is seeking a driven Account Manager to grow and manage customer relationships through proactive inside selling and targeted outreach. This role partners closely with customers to understand their business, promote VikingElectric's solutions—especially digital tools—and consistently drive sales growth. You'll spend most of your time developing accounts from an office while collaborating with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience, with occasional customer visits in the field.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing value, insight, and market knowledge. Prospect for new accounts and grow existing business through proactive outreach. Promote Viking Electric's full portfolio of products, services, and digital solutions. Negotiate pricing, secure vendor agreements, and support effective pricing strategies. Quote material, enter orders, manage returns, and delegate transactional tasks as appropriate. Collaborate with product specialists (automation, project sales, datacom, tools, digital, etc.) Serve as a trusted partner and indispensable supply chain resource for customers.

Required: 2+ years of B2B sales experience (electrical industry preferred). High school diploma or GED. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Solid computer and technology proficiency. Valid driver's license. Preferred: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Experience selling electrical products or solutions. Strong understanding of markets, competitors, and basic financials.

Work Environment: Approximately 80% inside sales from an office. Up to 20% field time visiting customers.
