Job Summary:

Care New England is seeking an inpatient surgical Physician Assistant to join our growing team of surgeons and physician assistants at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island 

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (6a – 6p, 6p – 6a) with possibility of one 12-hour or one 24-hour shifts.
  • Rotational weekend and holiday shifts 
  • Enjoy working in general, bariatric, colorectal, vascular and thoracic surgery
  • Job responsibilities include, OR 1st assist and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults & daily rounding
  • Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound vac changes and I&D of abscesses
  • The primary work location will be Kent Hospital, with occasional assignments at Women & Infants Hospital based on scheduling needs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certified by NCCPA.
  • Active Rhode Island PA, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
  • OR 1st assist experience a plus
