This position will work alongside another APP from 7am-8pm splitting the census.
Pay Range:
$47.50 - $71.25
Position Details
Employment Type: Full‑time (1.0 FTE)
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 7:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
Setting: Inpatient
Location: Atrium Health Pineville & UW Hospitals
Call Coverage: Weekend daytime call (7 a.m.-8 p.m.), shared with one GI APP
Holidays: Some holidays required (rotational)
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide inpatient gastroenterology care, including consults and ongoing patient management
Average patient volume: 18-20 patients per day
Perform PEG tube exchanges/placements in endoscopy as applicable
Collaborate closely with GI physicians, APP colleagues, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute care environment
Team & Practice Environment
Weekend staffing model includes 1 GI physician and 2 APPs
Large, established GI group with 32 physicians and 38 APPs
Supportive leadership and experienced colleagues
Opportunities for leadership involvement and committee participation
Qualifications
Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Minimum of 2 years of experience required (no new graduates)
Active or eligible North Carolina licensure
Strong interest in comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology care
Subspecialty GI interests welcomed
