Valley Medical Center is recruiting an independent contractor psychiatrist to provide consultation services for medically ill inpatients across hospital units, including the emergency room, medical, surgical, critical care and obstetric services. Evaluate hospitalized patients with medical and psychiatric or behavioral conditions and recommend treatment.

Coordinate integrated care with hospital teams and case management social work.
Support ED psychiatric evaluation and involuntary detention processes.
