    Opportunity Details:

    Position Title: BE/BC General Psychiatrist

    Location: Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody area)

    Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral health hospital located in Dunwoody (Atlanta), Georgia, that has been serving the region since 1973. It provides 24/7 psychiatric and addiction services across a full continuum of care, including inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The facility specializes in treating mental health disorders, substance use, and co-occurring conditions through evidence-based therapies, medication management, and multidisciplinary care, and offers round-the-clock assessments and admissions support.

    Position Overview:

    Role: BE/BC General Psychiatrist

    Patient Population: Inpatient Adult and Older Adult

    Schedule: Full-time onsite Monday-Friday, 1:4 weekend rounding and 1-2 weeknights of telephonic call monthly

    Employment type: Full-time employed W2

    EMR: Cerner

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
    • Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
    • Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.

    Requirements:

    • BE/BC in General Psychiatry required. BC preferred.
    • Successful completion of General Psychiatry Residency
    • Active or eligible for GA medical license
    • Onsite only
    • Comfort with seeing ages adult and older adult populations
