    Description

    Role within team:

The Innovation Team is small and touches a lot of the agency including analytics/reporting, vendor management, and increasingly AI/technology projects. This role is the team's hands-on builder.

What This Person Will Generally Be Doing

    • Building and maintaining internal business applications on Microsoft's Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
    • Building AI-assisted automations and agents (Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar) to support specific departments as needs come up (legal, marketing, and others over time)
    • Contributing to web development projects
    • Acting as the team's go-to technical resource. Helping think through architecture, feasibility, and build-vs-buy questions for projects across the agency, not just the ones assigned directly to the team
    • Taking on a mix of larger, multi-month builds and smaller one-off requests from teams across SSP, often starting from a loosely defined ask

The Type of Person We're Looking For

    • Early-career but someone who might already have some experience
    • Real developer fundamentals, not just comfort using AI tools. Someone who understands code and logic well enough to build and maintain real systems, and to know when AI-generated output is actually correct
    • Comfortable using AI as part of how they work day-to-day, including coding, automation, and building AI-powered tools for others, but as something additive to development skill, not a substitute for it
    • Curious and comfortable with ambiguity. This person won't be handed fully scoped requirements; they'll need to take direction on business context from the team and own the technical execution themselves
    • Able to move between bigger strategic builds and small, immediate requests without needing everything perfectly defined upfront
