    Injection Molding Operator

    Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
    Schedule: 1st / 2nd / 3rd shift (varies by client)
    Pay: Competitive hourly rate + shift differential (based on experience)
    Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

    About the Role

    The Hammitt Group is partnering with a well-established plastics manufacturer in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to hire Injection Molding Operators. This role is responsible for safely operating injection molding machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining consistent production and quality standards.

    This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate injection molding presses according to standard work instructions

    • Load/unload parts and monitor automated or semi-automated equipment

    • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts

    • Identify defects such as flash, short shots, sinks, or warpage

    • Record production counts, scrap, and downtime accurately

    • Package finished parts per customer and quality requirements

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)

    • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures

    • Communicate issues to supervisors or process technicians promptly

    Required Qualifications

    • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

    • Basic math and measurement skills

    • Ability to read work instructions and quality standards

    • Strong attention to detail and reliability

    • Willingness to work overtime or off-shifts as needed

    • Injection molding experience


    • Experience in plastics manufacturing (automotive, medical, packaging, or consumer goods)
    • Familiarity with basic quality inspection tools (calipers, gauges)

    • Experience working in ISO or IATF-certified environments

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs (with or without assistance)

    • Standing, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift

    • Exposure to heat, noise, and manufacturing equipment
