    Job Overview:

    We are seeking an Injection Mold Operator to prepare and run molded parts on injection molding equipment, verify part quality and dimensions, and support a fast-paced, quality-focused production environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using precision measuring tools, and eager to build hands-on knowledge of the machines they operate.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and operate injection molding machinery to produce parts according to specifications
    • Measure part dimensions using calipers to verify quality and conformance to specifications
    • Perform quality inspections on parts, including checking for defects, removing flash or excess material, and following product specifications
    • Use hand and power tools to support production and basic machine troubleshooting
    • Identify and address minor machine issues, escalating to a supervisor or maintenance when needed
    • Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions, and accurately complete production and quality paperwork
    • Handle materials and pack/move finished products as needed
    • Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE while working around manufacturing equipment

    Requirements:

    • 1-3 months of related experience in injection molding, machine operation, manufacturing, production, or similar hands-on work; injection molding/plastics experience preferred but not required
    • Completed training certification in a manufacturing or related environment (e.g., a 3-month or 6-month injection molding training course or certificate), or equivalent hands-on experience - formal education is not required
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools
    • Strong ability to accurately measure part dimensions using calipers
    • Basic shop math skills (e.g., tracking assembly/production counts)

    Core Competencies:

    • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal work instructions
    • Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation
    • Comfortable working safely around manufacturing equipment, following PPE and safety procedures
    • Willing and able to work scheduled overtime as needed

    Preferences:

    • Prior injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience
    • Forklift experience (a plus, not required)

    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

    • This position is fully on-site at our Sedalia, MO facility; not eligible for hybrid or remote work, and no travel is required.
