Job Title: Infrastructure Technician III
Employment Type: Contract – Possible Extension or Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technician III to lead and perform advanced structured cabling, fiber optic, low-voltage, and ICT infrastructure work.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with copper and fiber installation, termination, testing, fusion splicing, troubleshooting, and structured cabling systems. This role also provides field leadership by mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safe, high-quality project execution.
Install, service, upgrade, and decommission structured cabling and fiber optic systems.
Perform copper and fiber termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
Perform fiber fusion splicing, including high-strand ribbon fiber.
Install racks, cabinets, cable trays, patch panels, pathways, and network equipment.
Perform Fluke DSX8000, OTDR, and VFL testing.
Install and support servers, rack-and-stack equipment, and network devices.
Follow TIA/BICSI standards, NEC, ANSI, and applicable building codes.
Read blueprints, construction drawings, port maps, and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot network infrastructure; Cisco experience is a plus.
Mentor and guide junior technicians.
Coordinate daily workflow and help keep projects on schedule.
Maintain accurate project, testing, material, and service documentation.
Communicate professionally with customers and project teams.
Support emergency service requests and meet required SLAs.
5+ years of low-voltage cabling / ICT infrastructure experience.
Strong experience installing, terminating, testing, and certifying copper and fiber systems.
Hands-on experience with fiber fusion splicing.
Knowledge of structured cabling and ICT standards.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Experience with racks, patch panels, cable trays, and network equipment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and lead small field teams.
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience.
BICSI Technician Certification highly desired.
Experience with Panduit, CommScope, Corning, Leviton, or similar manufacturers.
Cisco router installation/configuration experience.
Experience in data centers, enterprise environments, or advanced facilities.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to kneel, stoop, climb, bend, and reach.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. frequently.
Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors.
Candidates should have basic hand and field tools, including:

Cordless drill/impact
Punch tools
Tape measure and level
Flashlight/headlamp
Testers
VFL preferred
Steel/composite toe boots
Other standard low-voltage installation tools
