    Role: Infrastructure Support Engineer – Level II
    Location: Las Vegas, NV
    Work Arrangement: Onsite and remote
    Employment Type: Contract, initially part-time with potential to scale to full-time

    This role offers a minimum of 20 guaranteed hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to 40 hours as client demand and project volume grow. The successful candidate will support network and server infrastructure, equipment installations, system patching, troubleshooting, and general infrastructure operations for a growing technology solutions organization.Position OverviewFusion HCR is seeking a hands-on Level II Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide broad infrastructure support across network, server, hardware, and related technology environments. This position is suited to an experienced generalist who can work independently without requiring deep specialization in advanced network or systems engineering. The engineer will install and support infrastructure equipment, perform patching and maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, respond to monitoring alerts and tickets, and assist with client projects and deployments. The role will also provide practical guidance and training to a junior engineer. The engagement will begin at 20 guaranteed hours per week and may expand as client requirements and project demand increase.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Install, connect, configure, and test switches, servers, and related infrastructure equipment.
    • Perform rack-and-stack activities, equipment replacement, cabling, and infrastructure deployments.
    • Support system, server, network-device, and firmware patching according to established procedures.
    • Monitor systems and respond to alerts, tickets, and other NOC-related support needs.
    • Troubleshoot network, server, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
    • Escalate complex problems appropriately while documenting troubleshooting steps and findings.
    • Assist with client infrastructure projects, upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, installation notes, system records, and support procedures.
    • Provide hands-on guidance and technical training to a junior engineer.
    • Communicate clearly with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
    • Travel to client locations or provide scheduled after-hours support when required.
    Required Qualifications
    • Approximately three or more years of experience in IT infrastructure, network support, systems support, field services, or a related technical role.
    • Working knowledge of switches, routers, servers, cabling, and general network infrastructure.
    • Experience installing and supporting network or server hardware.
    • Familiarity with Windows-based environments and common infrastructure technologies.
    • Experience with system patching, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
    • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve Level II technical issues.
    • Ability to follow technical procedures while recognizing when escalation is necessary.
    • Strong documentation, organization, and client communication skills.
    • Willingness to mentor and provide practical guidance to junior technical staff.
    • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule as weekly demand increases.
