We're hiring anInfrastructure Solutions Design Engineer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.
Work Authorization: Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
- 8 years of hands-on experience building or supporting IT infrastructure (servers and/or networks)
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, including servers and networks
- Application design experience
- Solutions design experience
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience with Cisco ACI and Ansible for software-defined networks is nice to have but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex, project-driven work within the Deployment Management Methodology (DMM) framework
- Assess customer requirements and evaluate approved technical solutions from the solutions team
- Determine necessary infrastructure changes for both servers and networks
- Create detailed deployment specification documents for use by deployment teams
- Incorporate guidance from architecture, security, and operations teams
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR
- 4 years of job-related work experience, or 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree
The hourly rate for this position is $49.13.
