    Hybrid at two Locations: MN-Hopkins Excelsior Blvd and TX-Genpass Irving


    Hours: Core working hours from 8 to 5 central

    Interview Process: One interview round with manager via Teams for most with and a second interview with another senior leader for the finalists. Primary focus areas are on infrastructure experience, process improvement experience, and looking for high energy people. Don t need to be an engineer but need to really understand infrastructure technologies and interface with people that are engineers.


    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated, high-energy contractor to support enterprise infrastructure technical hygiene initiatives through process analysis, process improvement, operational governance, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and technology leadership teams to improve the consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency of technical hygiene programs.

    This role combines infrastructure technology knowledge with process improvement expertise to drive sustainable improvements in technology currency, patch management, vulnerability management, lifecycle management, maintenance governance, and operational risk reduction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Process Improvement and Analysis

    Document current-state infrastructure processes, workflows, dependencies, handoffs, controls, and decision points.

    Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.

    Facilitate workshops and working sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Develop process maps, standard operating procedures, governance documentation, and implementation recommendations.

    Define and track process measures, key performance indicators, and improvement outcomes.

    Infrastructure Technical Hygiene

    Support initiatives focused on:

    Patch and vulnerability management

    Technology currency and lifecycle management

    Operational governance and maintenance window coordination

    Infrastructure standards and configuration compliance

    Technology risk reduction

    Operational resiliency and recovery processes

    Partner with engineering teams to improve consistency, execution, and accountability across infrastructure domains.

    Governance and Reporting

    Create executive-ready reporting, presentations, and decision materials.

    Track workstream progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and action items.

    Support audit, regulatory, risk, and governance activities.

    Develop sustainable reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and transition materials.

    Required Qualifications

    Experience

    5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, technology operations, platform engineering, systems administration, cloud operations, or a related technical discipline.

    2+ years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, operational excellence, or continuous improvement.

    Experience working within a large, complex technology organization.

    Infrastructure Knowledge

    Strong understanding of multiple infrastructure disciplines, including several of the following:

    Windows and Linux platforms

    Cloud infrastructure, with Azure preferred

    Network technologies

    Databases and middleware

    Storage, backup, and recovery technologies

    Monitoring and observability platforms

    Vulnerability and patch management

    Infrastructure lifecycle management

    Technology operations and service management

    Process Improvement Skills

    Foundational knowledge of process improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement.

    Experience developing process documentation, workflow diagrams, and operating procedures.

    Ability to analyze data, identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and recommend practical operational improvements.

    Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and change adoption skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    7+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.

    Experience with technical hygiene, vulnerability management, technology currency, infrastructure modernization, or cloud transformation initiatives.

    Experience in a highly regulated industry such as financial services.

    Experience with ServiceNow, Power BI, Visio, SharePoint, Power Automate, or similar platforms.

    Familiarity with technology governance, risk, compliance, change management, and audit processes.
