Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Infrastructure Engineering. Review and analyze basic or tactical Infrastructure Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Provide information to client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering.
This team supports Wells Fargo's regulated voice recording environment, which is responsible for capturing and retaining specific trader and business communications to satisfy regulatory and compliance requirements. The team owns the platforms and infrastructure that facilitate voice recording across several critical technologies.
Infrastructure Engineer (Recording Engineering) provides senior level technical expertise and operational leadership across critical Trader Voice Services and regulatory call recording infrastructure. The role requires deep engineering knowledge across voice capture systems-including NICE, Verba, Proteus, Continuity Replay, and Vodafone recording components-as well as the ability to guide L1 delivery teams and manage engineering work through structured Jira boards.
The engineer will support complex integration across trader voice environments, IP Telephony, Unified Communications (UC), Voice as a Service platforms, MS Teams capture, and video technologies. A strong understanding of enterprise software/hardware architecture in regulated financial environments is essential.
The environment currently consists of a mix of cloud-based and on-premises recording solutions, with approximately 4-5 major products supporting the voice recording ecosystem.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
This is an Infrastructure Engineer role focused on both engineering and operational support. The engineer will be responsible for:
Platform maintenance and lifecycle management
Infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts
Vulnerability remediation and patch management
System health monitoring and operational support
Engineering design and implementation activities
Supporting migrations and strategic platform initiatives
Current Initiatives
The team is actively involved in several transformation efforts, including:
Modernization of the trader voice recording environment
Migration activities related to data center closures
Platform consolidation efforts as legacy vendors are phased out
Upgrades to newer transcription and voice analytics capabilities
Migration of components into Wells Fargo's internal cloud environment utilizing virtualized infrastructure and OpenShift platforms
One major initiative involves transitioning away from a legacy recording vendor and adopting a dual-vendor strategy utilizing Cloud9 and IPC technologies.
Technical Environment
The team supports multiple components across the trader voice ecosystem, including:
Voice recording platforms
Trader voice infrastructure
Regulatory recording technologies
IPC trader communication solutions
Cloud9 Symphony environment
Microsoft Teams capture and recording integrations
Voice archiving and transcription solutions
Virtualized infrastructure supporting recording platforms
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with NICE Trader Recording (NTR) or Verba Financial Compliance (VFC).
Experience with Proteus, Continuity Replay, or Vodafone recording integrations.
Prior experience migrating between recording platforms or performing platform consolidation.
Experience with on prem to cloud migration of infrastructure or application workloads.
Understanding of build/deploy pipelines, release management, and configuration management tools.
Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (networking, compute, storage, data centers).
2+ years' experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper V, etc.)
Experience with lifecycle management including patching, maintenance, health checks, decommissioning.
Understanding of business continuity (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
2+ years of information security experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
