Role Overview
The Infrastructure & Cloud Manager at oneD is responsible for owning and operating the end-to-end technology infrastructure that powers oneD's multi-platform streaming ecosystem. This role ensures the platform is highly available, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient, supporting millions of users across web, mobile, and smart TV devices.
The role covers multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, BytePlus), media platforms (Brightcove and related OTT services), and the full scope of system, network, security, DevOps, and platform operations. This position plays a critical role in enabling innovation across AVOD, SVOD, Live, and VOD, while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, own, and evolve multi-cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure, aligned with product scale, traffic growth, and business objectives.
Manage and optimize OTT and media platforms such as Brightcove, including integration with CDN, DRM, analytics, and monetization workflows.
Define cloud standards, reference architectures, and environment strategies (production, staging, development).
Own infrastructure across compute, storage, databases, and system operations.
Design and manage network architecture including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and inter-cloud connectivity.
Ensure infrastructure readiness for high-throughput streaming, API traffic, and data pipelines.
Lead capacity planning and scaling strategies for peak traffic and major content launches.
Ensure high availability and performance for streaming platforms, backend systems, and data services.
Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives including usage monitoring, rightsizing, reserved capacity, and cost governance.
Work with CDN partners to optimize latency, playback stability, storage, and bandwidth usage.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, rollback strategies, and release governance.
Champion Infrastructure-as-Code and automation best practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Establish operational standards for incident response, on-call rotation, escalation, and post-incident reviews.
Apply SRE-style practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
Lead infrastructure security across cloud, system, and network layers.
Implement IAM, access controls, encryption, secrets management, and secure network design.
Ensure compliance readiness for PDPA, GDPR, DRM, and enterprise security audits.
Own disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.
Own observability across platforms: monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
Ensure infrastructure readiness for event tracking, analytics pipelines, experimentation, and personalization.
Support reliable data flows to BI, CDP, CRM, ad-tech, and monetization platforms.
Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, Content Operations, and Security teams.
Translate business and product requirements into scalable infrastructure roadmaps.
Provide clear guidance on technical trade-offs, risks, timelines, and cost implications.
Support platform readiness for product launches and major content events.
Lead and mentor Cloud, DevOps, System, and Network Engineering teams.
Plan and track infrastructure initiatives using Agile and IT service management practices.
Reduce technical debt, operational risk, and single points of failure.
Foster a culture of automation, reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7-10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or IT infrastructure roles.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure in production environments.
Experience with OTT / media platforms such as Brightcove or similar streaming technologies.
Solid expertise in system architecture, networking, security, and cloud operations.
Proven experience operating high-traffic, consumer-facing platforms with strict uptime requirements.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in OTT, AVOD/SVOD, Live/VOD streaming platforms.
Familiarity with CDN, DRM, video delivery pipelines, and media workflows.
Exposure to FinOps, SRE, and enterprise observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
Experience supporting multi-device ecosystems (web, mobile, smart TV).
Background in ad-tech, subscription platforms, or large-scale analytics infrastructure.
