We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Greenville, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of professional infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise operations experience, including ownership of complex production services
- Working understanding of Terraform and Ansible, along with DevOps best practices for automation, version control, repeatable deployments, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Hands-on knowledge of Veeam and Rubrik backup technologies, including backup operations, monitoring, restore activities, troubleshooting, and recovery validation
- Practical experience using ServiceNow (SNOW) and maintaining accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) records for infrastructure assets, services, relationships, incidents, changes, problems, and requests
- Experience supporting Lenovo, Dell, and HP server infrastructure, including out-of-band (OOB) management, hardware health monitoring, and firmware updates
- Working knowledge of SSH and PuTTY for secure remote administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support
- General understanding of firewall concepts, network flows, ports, protocols, access rules, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS certificates and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including certificate requests, issuance, renewal, deployment, validation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise server, storage, virtualization, and operating system technologies
- Advanced experience administering and troubleshooting VMware environments, including platform availability, performance, capacity, lifecycle, and recovery considerations
- Hands-on experience with enterprise backup software, backup job operations, restore execution, retention management, recovery validation, and disaster recovery planning
- Practical experience managing Incidents, Problems, and Requests in a structured IT service management environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead major incident response, root cause analysis, recurring-issue elimination, and durable remediation
- Experience with infrastructure security practices, including hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and operational risk management
- Working knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure architecture, systems integration, and deployment practices
- Experience with automation and modern engineering practices, such as Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, scripting, and configuration automation
- Ability to maintain high-quality technical documentation, operating procedures, architecture references, and support knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and continuously improve infrastructure components, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network-connected services, middleware, and supporting technologies
- Lead complex infrastructure transformations, deployments, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities while managing risks, dependencies, quality, and delivery commitments
- Define and promote infrastructure architecture choices, technical standards, and operational practices that support consistency, scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability
- Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, technology lifecycle management, and obsolescence remediation to support business growth and platform stability
- Maintain accurate architecture references, technical procedures, operating standards, and knowledge articles
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000.
