    Description

    Position Title: Information Technology Technician - Web Development

    Department: Information Technology

    Reports To: Information Technology Supervisor

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The primary goal of the Information Technology Technician is to support, maintain, and optimize Tarzana's web platforms, internal web applications, and digital interfaces, leveraging modern AI assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance functionality. This position is responsible for assisting in front-end and back-end web development tasks, routine site maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting across TTC's web ecosystem. Utilizing AI-assisted coding tools, LLM workflows, and developer productivity platforms, the Technician works to streamline code generation, automate testing, and refine web assets while adhering to organizational standards and healthcare compliance requirements. The Information Technology Technician receives supervision and task assignments from the IT Supervisor, collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and serves as a responsive technical resource for web application support.

    CATEGORIES OF DUTIES

    • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining TTC's public-facing websites, patient portals, and internal web applications using standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks/CMS platforms).
    • Utilize AI developer tools (such as AI coding assistants, code generators, and automated debugging tools) to write, refactor, and review clean, efficient code.
    • Perform routine website maintenance, content updates, link checks, and performance optimization across all digital properties.
    • Troubleshoot web application issues, rendering bugs, form errors, and integration failures with speed and precision.
    • Leverage AI tools to assist in generating unit tests, conducting accessibility (ADA) audits, and verifying cross-browser and mobile responsiveness.
    • Facilitate the deployment and staging of web application updates, ensuring minimal downtime and preserving data integrity.
    • Assist in managing web environments, DNS configurations, SSL certificates, and basic web server or hosting platform settings. • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including codebase notes, API integration guides, prompt templates, and troubleshooting workflows to institutionalize knowledge.
    • Stay informed of emerging web technologies, AI tools, and industry best practices to improve development workflows and resource efficiency.
    • Ensure all web development and data-handling practices strictly comply with HIPAA, patient privacy guidelines, and organizational security standards.
    • Collaborate with vendors, external digital agencies, and contractors during integration projects to ensure deliverables meet TTC requirements while controlling project scope and costs.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with internal departmental users and provide basic training or guidance on web tools and content management systems.
    • Accurately track time, task milestones, and project steps within the department's ticketing and project management systems. • Attend all Department meetings and collaborative planning sessions.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Associate degree or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience; or High School Diploma with 2+ years of hands-on experience in web development, website maintenance, or technical support for web applications. Demonstrated familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), basic content management systems (CMS), and practical experience using AI-assisted coding/productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude for coding, or IDE AI plugins). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and efficiently are required.
