Information Technology - Systems Analyst / Architect - Expert

As a Senior Messaging SRE forTechnical Operations Team, the ideal candidate will: • Provide administrative and operational support for Middleware and Messaging Platforms. • Strong troubleshooting skills (ability to detect, isolate, and resolve issues anywhere from the kernel up to the application and network layers).

Pay range: $70-75/hr
2-3 days in office

9 am to 5 pm EST
weekend support as needed

Job Description:
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity. Prepares detail specifications for developers. Provides technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications that will enhance operating and development activities. Having 6+ years experience.

Role Summary and Role Description:
As a Senior Messaging SRE forTechnical Operations Team, the ideal candidate will :
• Provide administrative and operational support for Middleware and Messaging Platforms
• Hands on experience in messaging technologies including IBM WMQ, RabbitMQ, SonicMQ and Kafka
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrade on MQ systems
• Build resilient infrastructure for MQ systems
• Quickly diagnose and resolve issues on MQ systems
• Support security management for vulnerability remediation on MQ systems
• Execute Change Management tasks in Production, UAT and other lower environments
• Monitor system performance and make recommendations on improvements
• Work closely with Engineering and Development teams in order to deliver a highly available and resilient system

Experience/Skills Required: Total 12+ years of IT experience:
• Strong operational knowledge for IBM WMQ, RabbitMQ, SonicMQ and Kafka
• Scripting/Programming experience (Python, BASH, Ansible)
• Linux system administration knowledge (preferably RedHat)
• Knowledge of network concepts (TCP, UDP, Load Balancing, NAT, FW, etc)
• Strong troubleshooting skills (ability to detect, isolate, and resolve issues anywhere from the kernel up to the application and network layers)
• Good communication skills are required

Additional Skills (good to have):
• Experience work on CI/CD Tools, JFROG Artifactory systems
• Experience with running and troubleshooting Java applications
