POSITION SUMMARY: CFG Bank's 2027 Summer Internship Program offers Information Technology and Cybersecurity majors the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the technology and security operations of a growing financial institution. This internship is designed for students who are interested in applying technical knowledge to real-world business challenges while developing an understanding of how technology, cybersecurity, and risk management support the banking industry.

This program is ideal for students who are analytical, curious, problem-solvers, and eager to learn how technology enables business success while protecting organizational and customer information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: About the Internship: From day one, summer interns are immersed in CFG's entrepreneurial and tenacious company culture, gaining hands-on experience through:

• Comprehensive orientation and ongoing workshops to foster learning and development.
• Meaningful work assignments that allow interns to apply classroom concepts in technology, cybersecurity, systems management, and business operations.
• Exposure to banking technology environments, including cybersecurity practices, technology infrastructure, digital systems, operational processes, and risk management.
• Career development opportunities with guidance from corporate leaders, including internship managers, senior mentors, and program coordinators.
• Opportunities to strengthen technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills through real-world projects and challenges.
• A collaborative and supportive environment where interns are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and take ownership of their learning.
• Professional development experiences focused on workplace etiquette, business communication, banking fundamentals, and technical skill-building.

General Responsibilities: IT and Cybersecurity Track interns may be responsible for:

• Supporting technology and cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.
• Assisting with technology projects, system upgrades, documentation, and process improvement efforts.
• Conducting research on technology trends, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices.
• Supporting data analysis, reporting, and technology-related business initiatives.
• Assisting with system testing, troubleshooting, and user supportive activities.
• Supporting information security, risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity awareness efforts.
• Attending team meetings, documenting key takeaways, and tracking project action items.
• Collaborating with technology, operations, and business teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Preparing and presenting a final project or reflection that highlights internship experience, key learnings, and professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technology, cybersecurity, information security, systems administration, infrastructure, data management, or risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies, software platforms, and technical concepts quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Interest in understanding how technology and cybersecurity support business operations within the financial services industry.

COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE: In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.

BENEFITS AND ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: This is a part-time internship position. Interns are not eligible for employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, or bonus programs. Compensation is limited to the hourly wage listed above.
