    Description

    Seeking an Information Technology (IT) Director. Position is full time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours, exempt status.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develops and maintains hospital IT policies and procedures.
    • Is responsible for hardware/software configuration, setup, maintenance and repair.
    • Possesses general knowledge of networks and VPNs.
    • Provides end-user support, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
    • Authors/maintains IT documentation, including software/hardware user guides.
    • Serves as the primary trainer for hospital staff in all matters relating to computer hardware and assists Department Leaders in training and implementation of software.
    • Responsible for IP based telephone equipment.
    • Coordinates and participates in the computer activities of the hospital to ensure continuous, accurate, timely, and cost-effective services are provided.
    • Interacts with all departments in the hospital and communicates effectively to ensure efficient computer systems operation.
    • Ensures that all departmental and hospital policies and procedures are followed so that the integrity of the hospital is maintained, with an emphasis on privacy and security.
    • Monitors departmental activities and facility hardware and software to identify and correct problems that would impede computer system functions.
    • Provides technical expertise and problem solving techniques to the department and the facility to achieve desired results in computer applications.
    • Oversees employees of the IT Department
    • May include participation in on-call rotation

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or a minimum of five years Information Technology experience.

    Experience:

    • Experience with providing end-user support on PCs, strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Networks (File shares, NTFS permissions, printers, general TCP/IP networking) and Hardware (hands on experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and replacement) all preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.

    Applicant must pass a background check, employer provided health assessment (including applicable vaccines) and provided drug screen before hiring. Position open until filled.
