We are seeking an IT Application Support Analyst who will support application management for consumer, small business, and commercial-facing origination applications. This role focuses on technical coordination, application oversight, IT governance, and ensuring vulnerabilities, audit findings, and other application-related tasks are addressed through completion. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in software development, engineering, or application support and can effectively coordinate work across technical teams. This is not a hands-on coding or traditional project management role. The individual will understand technical issues, identify appropriate remediation paths, coordinate with the responsible teams, and track progress to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Review existing vulnerability findings, understand the source and nature of each issue, identify appropriate remediation paths, and track fixes through completion. Maintain the vulnerability inventory as new findings are identified.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate remediation of security-related and process-related audit findings. Ensure remediation plans are submitted accurately, tracked appropriately, and executed according to requirements.
  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with engineering, security, product, infrastructure, and other teams to prioritize work, assign ownership, and drive issues toward resolution.
  • Application Management: Support ongoing application-management activities, including governance requirements, security reviews, documentation, and forward-looking initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting & Investigation: Use technical knowledge to investigate application issues, review logs when needed, and help determine where problems originate.
  • Governance & Reporting: Maintain tracking documents, prepare status reports, use corporate governance tools, and ensure application-related work aligns with enterprise IT standards and policies.
  • Task & Project Ownership: Independently manage multiple tasks and deliverables, follow up with stakeholders, and ensure work is completed without requiring direct people management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience Or High School Diploma and eleven (11) years of experience
  • Vulnerability management, audit remediation, IT governance, or GRC experience.
  • Application management or enterprise application support.
  • Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Dynatrace, or Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of software development, engineering, or enterprise application environments.
  • Experience working as a developer, engineer, technical lead, application support professional, or closely alongside engineering teams.
  • Ability to understand technical issues and coordinate appropriate remediation without personally writing code.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks, priorities, and deliverables through completion.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across teams, identify the appropriate stakeholders, and navigate enterprise processes.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.

Important Role Clarifications

  • No coding required: The individual will not be expected to commit code or perform hands-on vulnerability scanning.
  • No vulnerability scanning required: Existing scanning solutions identify the vulnerabilities. This role takes the results and ensures remediation is appropriately planned, coordinated, and completed.
  • Not a traditional Project Manager: A PMP certification is not required. The focus is on practical task ownership and technical coordination rather than formal project management methodology.
  • Security experience is preferred, not mandatory: A strong technical candidate who can learn the organization's governance and security processes may be a good fit.
  • No direct reports: This role manages work and deliverables, not people.
