Responsible for the development, design, installation and maintenance of a department s networked computers. Assume sole responsibility as the systems or network administrator . May supervise other technical support personnel, such as Computer Technicians and Information System Specialist I s performing routine maintenance, repair, troubleshooting or PC/Network operations duties.

This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of servers, workstations, storage systems, software applications, and peripheral devices. The incumbent serves as a primary technical resource for faculty, researchers, staff, and students and assists in maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support the academic and research missions of the department.
