ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Specialist to join our Configuration Management group that supports the development of the NEXRAD system in Norman, OK. This is a full-time on-site position at the NEXRAD Radar Operations Center (ROC).
The ROC Configuration Management group manages hardware and software baselines to maintain WSR-88D system integrity. They meticulously evaluate, process, and track engineering and configuration change requests for system modifications. The team maintains digital and physical data repositories, technical records, and the ROC Technical Library. They provide essential drafting support by creating, updating, and reviewing CAD drawings to strict defense standards. Additionally, the group supports system upgrades by preparing procurement packages, shipping modification kits, and planning field retrofits. They also package and distribute approved software releases while centrally managing site-specific adaptation data. To ensure long-term system health, the team analyzes reliability, maintainability, and part failure trends to guide logistical decisions. Finally, they serve on project teams and conduct strict configuration audits to verify that all systems conform to approved baselines.
Citizenship Requirement
All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.
Relocation Requirement
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate, at their expense, within a commutable distance to Norman, OK.
Education & Experience Requirement
All non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate.
