The Information Specialist III serves as a key member of the Information Technology team, providing advanced technical support, systems administration, and technology leadership across an assigned geographic territory. This position maintains technology infrastructure, supports associates and branch operations, leads technology initiatives, and ensures compliance with Information Security and Technology standards.
Work Location: Flexible within assigned territory. Preferred office locations include Waynesboro, Sandersville, Dublin, or Perry, Georgia.
Geographic Territory: Washington, Waynesboro, Sandersville, Dublin, Perry, and surrounding areas. The selected candidate will support all locations within the assigned territory and travel regularly between offices as business needs require.
Technology Support & Customer Service - Serve as the primary technology resource for assigned branch locations and employees.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, copiers, mobile devices, security cameras, access control devices, and related technology equipment.
- Respond to service requests and technology incidents involving hardware, software, network connectivity, and security systems.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup, equipment deployment, account provisioning, and equipment recovery.
- Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the Association's service management platform.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.
Systems Administration & Infrastructure - Serve as the technical owner for assigned business-critical systems and technology platforms.
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize technology systems and services.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, integrations, and technical projects.
- Develop support procedures, documentation, and operational standards.
- Coordinate technology initiatives with vendors, internal departments, and external partners.
- Recommend and implement improvements that enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
Information Security & Compliance - Support the Association's Cyber Risk Management Program and security initiatives.
- Participate in security reviews, technology audits, incident response activities, and disaster recovery planning.
- Assist with vulnerability management, patching activities, and remediation efforts.
- Maintain software, hardware, and technology asset inventories.
- Support security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives.
- Monitor and report potential security concerns involving sensitive information and technology systems.
Leadership & Project Support - Resolve advanced technical issues involving multiple systems and technologies.
- Lead problem-management efforts and root cause analysis.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced technology team members.
- Support technology roadmaps, lifecycle planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
- Five to eight years of progressive Information Technology experience.
- Advanced knowledge of systems administration, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology platforms and services.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading technical projects and coordinating vendor resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Technical Experience Experience supporting or administering technologies such as:
- Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint)
- Endpoint management platforms (Intune, MECM)
- Network and wireless infrastructure
- VoIP telephone systems
- Backup and recovery platforms
- Ticketing and service management systems
- Security camera and access control sys
