JSG is seeking a well rounded InfoSec Systems Administrator from an onsite, temp to hire role for our growing hospitality/entertainment client in the greater Woodland Hills area.
Position Summary
The System Administrator is a hands-on infrastructure role focused primarily on cloud administration, network administration, and security. This position is responsible for administering and securing Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, Cisco network infrastructure, identity systems, endpoints, and servers. The role also provides support across virtualization, Citrix, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, and cloud-based telephony.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent troubleshooting, customer service, documentation, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Administration
- Administer Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, including virtual machines, storage, platform services, and lifecycle management.
- Manage cloud identity and access, including Entra ID, Azure RBAC, AWS IAM, MFA, SSO, and least-privilege access.
- Configure and maintain cloud networking, including VNets/VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPNs, and load balancing.
- Monitor cloud performance, utilization, capacity, and costs; identify optimization opportunities.
- Maintain cloud backup, disaster recovery, security policies, and configuration standards.
- Support cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
Network Administration
- Administer Cisco switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, VLANs, VPNs, and network services.
- Manage firewalls, remote access, and secure connectivity between offices, data centers, and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, latency, and wireless issues.
- Maintain network documentation, IP addressing, configurations, and topology diagrams.
- Support cloud-based telephony and contact-center network requirements.
Security Administration
- Apply security best practices across cloud, network, server, and endpoint environments.
- Administer MFA, Conditional Access, identity security, EDR/AV, encryption, and patch/vulnerability management.
- Monitor security alerts and logs and assist with incident investigation and remediation.
- Support vulnerability assessments, security audits, compliance activities, and phishing/account-compromise response.
- Partner with IT and security teams to maintain secure configurations and access controls.
Infrastructure & Support
- Maintain VMware vSphere, Citrix Cloud, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server, and select Linux systems.
- Manage Windows, macOS, and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune or comparable MDM/UEM tools.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support and resolve escalated ITSM tickets within established SLAs.
- Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, equipment deployment, and deprovisioning.
- Maintain IT assets, software licenses, backups, documentation, and technical procedures.
- Work with vendors and service providers on technical support, procurement, and infrastructure projects.
- Participate in cloud migrations, network upgrades, security initiatives, virtualization projects, and other IT initiatives.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–6 years of professional system administration experience with a focus on cloud, network, and/or security administration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS, including compute, storage, identity, networking, and security.
- Strong experience with Cisco networking, including switching, routing, wireless, VLANs, and VPN.
- Working knowledge of firewalls, network segmentation, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and secure cloud connectivity.
- Experience with MFA, Conditional Access, EDR/AV, encryption, patching, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID in a corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of VMware vSphere, Citrix Cloud, Windows Server, Linux, and Microsoft Intune.
- Proficiency with PowerShell; familiarity with Azure CLI, AWS CLI, or infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
- Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions and ITIL/ITSM processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, organization, and customer-service skills.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-500, AWS, CCNA, Security+, Network+, CySA+, SC-300, or SC-200 are preferred.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required.
- Experience with audiovisual/meeting-room technology is a plus.
Pay Range: $48 - $60 per hour
