Information Security Architect
Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ months
Seeking for an experienced identity and access management professional to lead enterprise-wide IAM strategy and architecture. This role involves creating scalable identity solutions across cloud, on-premises, and SaaS environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the identity ecosystem and strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise IAM strategy and architecture for human and non-human identities
- Create architecture diagrams and transition plans
- Assess business requirements and recommend solutions
- Identify architectural gaps and investment priorities
- Design solutions for identity governance, authentication, access provisioning, and more
- Automate and streamline business processes
- Establish standards and design patterns for the IAM technology stack
- Lead architecture and design reviews and provide implementation guidance
- Evaluate IAM products and platform capabilities
- Advise teams on identity requirements and solution options
- Guide the implementation of AI identity capabilities
- Drive adoption of standard IAM solutions across business applications
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of IAM principles and platforms
- Experience with SailPoint, PingFederate, Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, and ServiceNow
- Strong communication and influence skills
- Experience with observability and analytics platforms
- Hands-on experience with PAM and MFA technologies (preferred)
- Experience designing identity controls for AI agents (preferred)
- Experience with product selection and platform modernization (preferred)
Experience:
- 10 years of progressive IAM architecture or solution design experience
Qualifications:
- Relevant security, cloud, or architecture certifications (preferred)
