About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Security Metrics & Reporting Analyst to support ongoing cybersecurity reporting operations within Global Security & Defence. This role focuses on executing and maintaining the enterprise cybersecurity metrics framework, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting across GRC and security domains.
You will work within a collaborative 10-person team and support leadership visibility through structured, repeatable, and trusted reporting processes.
Role Overview
The Security Metrics & Reporting Analyst is responsible for ongoing execution and maintenance of KRIs, KPIs, and operational cybersecurity metrics. This role supports consistent reporting across security domains by ensuring metrics are refreshed on schedule, validated for data integrity, and delivered through executive dashboards and reporting packages.
This is a business-as-usual (BAU) metrics operations role, focused on data hygiene, dashboard maintenance, reporting production, and metric issue resolution.
Approximately 25% of time will be spent collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Metrics Execution & Refresh Cycles
Execute recurring metric refresh processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
Maintain reporting calendars and track deliverables
Monitor metric dependencies, inputs, and exceptions
Ensure on-time completion of reporting cycles
Reporting & Dashboard Maintenance
Maintain dashboards in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
Validate scheduled refreshes and perform visual consistency checks
Update drill-down functionality and annotations
Produce executive and operational reporting packages (scorecards, risk reports)
Data Quality & Validation
Perform data quality checks including:
Month-over-month variance analysis
Missing or delayed data flags
Formula and filter validation
Document issues and coordinate resolution with data owners
Maintain metric definitions and source system documentation
Metric Intake & Change Support
Support metric definition updates and threshold adjustments
Track change requests and ensure governance review
Assist with dashboard enhancements and ORM challenge processes
Operational Support & Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as point of contact for metric clarification
Support preparation of executive talking points and narratives
Assist with audit support by gathering artifacts and documentation
Required Qualifications
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, cybersecurity support, IT risk, compliance, or operations
Proficiency with:
Excel (intermediate–advanced)
PowerPoint (clear executive-ready reporting)
At least one dashboarding tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage recurring deadlines and structured deliverables
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated anomaly detection skills
Organized, process-oriented, and quality-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cybersecurity domains such as:
SOC / incident response metrics
Vulnerability management metrics
IAM metrics (joiner/mover/leaver, access recertification, PAM coverage)
Security awareness or phishing metrics
Experience with data sources such as ServiceNow, Archer, Splunk, Sentinel, Tenable, or Qualys
Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
Education
Post-secondary education is a plus; relevant professional experience is prioritized.
