    Job Summary

    The Information Security Analyst IV is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining security measures that protect the organization's computer systems, networks, applications, and data. This senior-level role evaluates security risks, develops and implements protective controls, supports business continuity and disaster recovery, and recommends security improvements based on evolving threats and technologies.

    The analyst stays current on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack methods, and industry practices to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks. The role works closely with technology and business teams to strengthen security controls, reduce exposure, and support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and maintain security controls and technologies to protect systems, networks, applications, and sensitive data.

    • Research emerging cybersecurity technologies, threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies to identify opportunities to strengthen the organization's security posture.

    • Develop, test, and maintain network and information security disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

    • Perform security risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, and testing of data processing systems to identify and address potential weaknesses.

    • Implement and support security technologies, including firewalls, encryption, access controls, and other protective measures.

    • Evaluate security requirements and recommend enhancements, technologies, and security-related purchases that align with business and risk objectives.

    • Monitor and assess security controls to help prevent data loss, unauthorized access, security incidents, and service interruptions.

    • Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, network, and other technology teams to integrate security requirements into systems and processes.

    • Develop and maintain security procedures, standards, and technical documentation.

    • Provide guidance and training to employees and technology teams on information security policies, procedures, and best practices.

    • Support security incident preparedness and response activities as needed.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement of information security processes, controls, and technologies.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Significant experience in information security, cybersecurity, network security, or a related technology discipline.

    • Strong knowledge of information security principles, risk management, network security, data protection, and security controls.

    • Experience implementing or supporting security technologies such as firewalls, encryption, access controls, and network security solutions.

    • Experience conducting security risk assessments and evaluating technical environments for potential vulnerabilities.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

    • Ability to independently assess security requirements, develop recommendations, and work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Professional cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent.

    • Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and security incident response.

    • Experience in enterprise or highly regulated environments.

    • Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, attack methodologies, vulnerability management practices, and industry security frameworks.

    • Experience evaluating and implementing emerging cybersecurity technologies.
