Reporting to the Office Operations Manager, the Information Clerk provides administrative and reception support for busy mental health programs. This position serves as a welcoming first point of contact for consumers while supporting scheduling, admissions, front-line screening, and accurate documentation.
Answer a multi-line phone system and document calls in the Access Service Journal; schedule, reschedule, and cancel medication and outpatient appointments; greet and assist consumers accessing services; conduct admission interviews; obtain and update financial and insurance information; provide interpreting services as needed; support front-line screening and service scheduling; and provide clerical support for satellite clinics as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent; two years of clerical office experience; bilingual English/Spanish skills, both verbal and written; and a valid California Class C Driver License. Strong data entry, typing, 10-key, multi-line phone, EHR scanning, and appointment scheduling skills are required.
Experience working in a healthcare facility, hospital, or physician office is preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent customer service, time management, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
