Infection Preventionist - Remote/Hybrid

Two or more years of infection prevention, epidemiology, public health, quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory compliance, or related healthcare operations experience. Guide environmental health and safety programs, including hazard communication, regulated waste, and infection control risk assessments.

Lead infection prevention strategy that protects patients, employees, and communities across a multisite ambulatory organization.

Position Highlights

• Develop and oversee the enterprise infection prevention and control program
• Lead infection surveillance, communicable disease monitoring, exposure investigations, outbreak response, and risk assessments
• Establish standards for precautions, hand hygiene, sterilization, high level disinfection, and respiratory safety
• Guide environmental health and safety programs, including hazard communication, regulated waste, and infection control risk assessments
• Conduct audits, analyze trends, develop corrective actions, and support regulatory inspections
• Create dashboards, executive reporting, education, and resources that strengthen consistent clinical practice
• Hybrid work environment with travel up to 25 percent across Florida clinic locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Active unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse license
• Five or more years of healthcare experience
• Two or more years of infection prevention, epidemiology, public health, quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory compliance, or related healthcare operations experience
• CIC preferred at hire and required within 24 months
