We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our Infant & Toddler educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves educating and caring for preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while promoting a love for learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Educate students in various subjects including language, math, science, and social skills through play-based learning activities.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that accommodates the diverse needs of all students, including those with disabilities.
- Provide infant care as needed, ensuring proper hygiene and comfort for the youngest learners.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress in their development and learning milestones.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive community.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that promotes exploration and creativity.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience through teamwork and shared resources.
Qualifications
- 45/90 Hour Maryland Certification required
- Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a classroom setting.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
