The Learning Experience is seeking experienced Infant and Toddler Lead Teachers to join our early childhood education teams in Manhattan.
Whether you love nurturing infants through their earliest milestones or guiding toddlers as they develop language, independence, and confidence, we'd love to learn more about you.
We are hiring qualified educators who can lead a classroom, create meaningful learning experiences, and build strong relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant or Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create age-appropriate sensory, language, music, movement, and play-based learning experiences
- Support individualized feeding, diapering, safe sleep, toileting, and daily care routines as appropriate
- Encourage cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Maintain classroom health, safety, and licensing standards
Qualifications
- Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
- Infant or Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet NYC Article 47 qualifications for an Infant/Toddler Group Teacher
- Qualifying pathways include an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA with an approved study plan, or other education and experience pathways permitted under NYC regulations
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Must meet applicable background screening and childcare requirements
