Overview:Ascend Rehab Services is hiring an experienced and passionate Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to join our team in Antioch, CA. This position is based in a pediatric outpatient clinic and preschool setting—not home-based—and focuses on supporting toddlers ages 18 to 36 months with developmental delays.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, IDSs) to provide services that promote developmental milestones through direct instruction and caregiver coaching. If you want a meaningful, team-oriented role with growth potential, join us!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to toddlers in a clinic/preschool setting

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities

  • Conduct developmental assessments and write reports

  • Coach caregivers during sessions to support carryover of skills

  • Collaborate with other specialists and participate in team meetings

  • Contribute to IFSP goals and documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in early intervention (ages 0–3)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s in a related field preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of typical and atypical development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Spanish-speaking is a plus

  • Clinic or preschool experience strongly preferred
