    Industry Specialist/Sr - NSK Corporation

    The Company

    The Industry Specialist Role

    This position defines opportunities and manages new business development for a defined industry. Assumes a high level of responsibility for the success of NSK in meeting sales and profitability growth in the entire industry. This position will work closely with equipment designers, maintenance personnel, equipment operators and various other buying influencers to create demand for NSK brand products and services.

    Responsibilities

    • Identifies, evaluates and develops new business objectives within a specific industry following defined objectives and strategies for profitable sales growth.
    • Almost always functions independently as pre-sales project development at OEM and end-user accounts critical to success in the industry.
    • Identifies and develops internal and external training programs.
    • Responsible for developing network within end user accounts, OEM accounts and industry associations with key buying influences.
    • Identifies new/enhanced product or service opportunities. Will often lead an effort to develop and implement the product/service.
    • Represents NSK within industry associations key to participation in industry; identifies trade show opportunities.
    • Communicates, in a timely manner, project development activities with local field sales and other appropriate functions through reports and other methods.
    • Coordinates the formulation of the business plan for the industry.
    • Responsible for training local field sales people for the transition of customer from project to maintenance status.
    • Carries out special assignments as defined by Segment Manager.

    Education & Experience

    • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of position-related experience; preferably over 10 years of position-related experience.
