Industry Liaison, Oncology Clinical Trials

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Position Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

The Industry Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact for pharmaceutical industry partners throughout the lifecycle of oncology clinical trials, from protocol development through study closeout. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Grants & Contracts, Protocol Development, Data Management, Statistics, and Laboratory Sciences, while supporting business development efforts and sponsor engagement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical research professional with oncology experience who enjoys working directly with industry partners and contributing to the growth of innovative cancer research programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between pharmaceutical industry sponsors and internal research teams.
  • Coordinate industry-sponsored clinical trial activities from study development through closeout.
  • Partner with Grants & Contracts, Clinical Operations, Protocol Development, Laboratory Sciences, Data Management, and Statistical teams to ensure successful study execution.
  • Support business development initiatives and help cultivate new sponsor relationships.
  • Develop study budgets and establish trial-related costs.
  • Assist with grant applications, budget development, and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in the protocol development process and study planning activities.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party distributors and external vendor relationships.
  • Foster strong relationships with pharmaceutical industry partners to support ongoing and future collaboration opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical trial experience, with oncology experience required.
  • Management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical operations and clinical trial execution.
  • Experience with grants, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Experience with the protocol development process.
  • Experience working directly with pharmaceutical industry sponsors and partners.
  • Business development experience within clinical research or healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of industry-sponsored oncology studies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
