    The Power Industry Development Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the efforts of the sales and marketing teams assigned to the power industry group. The role focuses on extracting maximum value from the marketplace by advancing the company's selected focus industries, developing targeted marketing strategies and programs, and positioning the company's full-line and full-service capabilities to customers, suppliers, the company, and the broader power industry.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to see the big picture and determine how the company's value proposition can be strengthened and communicated across the power marketplace. This includes aligning customer needs, supplier partnerships, internal capabilities, and industry opportunities into practical strategies that support profitable growth and long-term market relevance.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Direct and coordinate sales and marketing efforts for assigned power industry.
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies and programs that support the power industry.
    • Promote the company's full-line products and full-service capabilities as a differentiated market advantage.
    • Leverage the purchasing, logistics, technical, and operational strengths of all company resources.
    • Identify marketplace opportunities that create measurable value for customers, suppliers, the company, and the power industry.
    • Maintain a broad, strategic view of industry trends, customer needs, supplier capabilities, and competitive pressures.
    • Own the P&L for the power industry
    • Own pricing and work with Account Managers on how to sell, support and drive pricing from a profitable and sustainable platform.
    • Cultivate extensive technical products and sales support and expertise.
    • Make CAPEX recommendations as they pertain to the power industry vertical for sustainable growth.

    Experience

    Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, with 8-10+ years of relevant experience; or
    • Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience; or
    • Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Strong understanding of market economics, industry trends, and chemical product applications.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and consultative selling skills.
    • Ability to independently develop account and industry growth strategies.
    • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting, and data analytics.
