THE ROLE
We’re hiring for Vehicle Maintenance at our Forks Facility in Easton, Pennsylvania. You’ll perform a wide range of production and facility support duties as part of our Foundry/Manufacturing team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, mobil cranes; to troubleshoot and perform all mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment.
- To know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment and wearing proper safety equipment.
- To know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate work being performed.
- To report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work.
- To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work.
- To report immediately to Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.
- To perform duties in such a manner as to assure the uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility and the continuation of the Victaulic Company of America as a clean, safe place of employment.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- The noise level is such that earplugs must be worn at all times. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (ex. hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes). Safety equipment is provided by the Company with exception of steel toe shoes, which must be provided by employee upon the first day of employment.
2nd Shift 2:00 pm – 10:25 pm
3rd Shift 10:00 pm - 6:20 am
* Shift times are subject to change. Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift. Sometimes it is not possible to give employees involved much notice. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit.
- Overtime: Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. It is mandatory for junior employees (if senior employees refuse) to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime will paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
WHAT YOU NEED
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Completion of accredited technical school program in diesel or automotive repair OR 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working on gas or diesel engines
- Knowledge of electricity and the ability to use a multimeter
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and brake systems
- Skilled in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently
