Your impact

As an Industrial Tech, you'll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted. You'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the operation, maintenance, calibration, diagnosis, inspection, and repair of the equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of an industrial water and/or wastewater treatment facility; and provide guidance and direction to plant operators, mechanics and industrial technicians. You'll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise in the facilities. You'll operate, monitor and calibrate motors, generators, gauges, valves and gates to regulate processes; determine and set flow rates, pressure, distribution and chemical dosage; maintain a log of operations and process adjustments as necessary; observe variances, and interpret meter/gauge readings; collect samples and perform laboratory tests; process, haul and apply residuals in accordance with regulations; utilize data management tools, and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you'll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team.

RESPONSIBIITIES:

• Schedules work tasks for the Arkansas Locations
• Performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.
• Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent.
• Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels.
• Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings.
• Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control.
• Starts and stops pump, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes.
• Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses.
• Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties.
• Makes operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel.
• Understands and carries out oral and written directions.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.

Here's what you'll need

• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license with no major infractions
• Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data management systems, and be able to operate plant PLC's and SCADA systems.
• Past work experience that demonstrates mechanical aptitude, such as the capacity to apply simple mechanical and physical principles as well as the ability to figure out how objects work and move, alone and in relation to other objects.
• During the first 14 months on the job, must be prepared to obtain: Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic familiarity of the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License or Higher
• Supervisory skills and abilities demonstrated through experience leading people and scheduling work assignments.
• One year of experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants.
• Basic familiarity of the operating principles of valves, pumps, and motors; principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical sewage analyses; effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes; safe work practices.

This position requires the operation of a company vehicle. A company vehicle therefore may be assigned specific to this project/client and, if assigned, may only be used for work purposes. The candidate must possess a valid driver's license, and must undergo a motor vehicle records check and meet company motor vehicle record adjudication standards.

The base salary range for this position is $52,000.00 to $58,240.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
