Industrial Sewer I - Entry Level (Training Provided)
Looking to start a career in manufacturing? We are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work history and a desire to learn. Previous industrial sewing experience is not required. Candidates with warehouse, production, assembly, manufacturing, or even at-home sewing experience are encouraged to apply!
As an Industrial Sewer I, you will operate industrial sewing machines to sew PVC and other synthetic materials into custom protective machine covers (bellows). This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in developing new skills with a growing company.
What You'll Do
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products.
- Read and follow job cards, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Sew PVC and synthetic materials according to customer requirements.
- Add components such as zippers, stiffeners, and tie strips as needed.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the sewing process.
- Measure materials and finished products using tape measures and rulers.
- Identify and report any quality concerns or product defects.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support team goals by assisting in other production areas when needed.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to read a ruler and tape measure accurately.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Previous warehouse, assembly, production, manufacturing, or machine operation experience.
- Experience with sewing, tailoring, crafting, upholstery, or at-home sewing projects.
- Ability to read blueprints or work instructions.
