Industrial Pump Repair and Overhaul Supervisor

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour + 5% shift differential

What you'll tackle

• Align daily workflow with the shop superintendent and communicate priorities to the floor.
• Verify travelers and requisitions are followed for every custom pump project.
• Assign work by customer due dates and manage throughput.
• Execute shop and on-site work: disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, reassembly.
• Coach mechanics on best practices for assembly and disassembly.
• Support solution-based scopes/proposals that articulate value and enhance revenue and margin.
• Provide technical support to customers and team members.
• Uphold QA/QC procedures and documentation standards.
• Share floor status in production/sales meetings.
• Read and apply blueprints to guide repairs and rebuilds.
• Inform the superintendent when jobs are complete and ready to ship to customers.
• Perform daily safety observations and routine inspections.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety.
• Serve as the acting superintendent when needed.

Must-haves

• 5+ years in the pump industry.
• Ability to independently perform pump service and maintenance with precise measurements, proper documentation, and use of relevant standards.
• Experience repairing at least two of: Multi-Stage BB4 and BB5, BB1, BB2, BB3.
• Familiarity with ANSI/Hydraulic Institute and/or API codes and how to apply them.
• Customer-facing communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; able to navigate web-based service manuals and tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Field service experience.
• Experience in steel or power industry settings.

Rhythm of the role

• Be ready to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when customer schedules require it.
• Ensure the facility is secured at the end of the day.
