Industrial Power Systems Electrician

Join our team in Cleveland, OH 44105 as an Industrial Power Systems Electrician and keep a modern manufacturing facility running at peak electrical performance. You’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant-wide electrical infrastructure.

A day in the life

• Install, service, and repair industrial electrical equipment and plant power systems.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance across a wide range of assets, including communication systems; radios and radio‑controlled cranes; gauges and measuring devices; ultrasonic and fluidic equipment; VDTs; PLCs; microprocessors; numerical and programmable controllers; low‑ and high‑voltage power distribution systems; rectifier equipment; and measuring/test equipment.
• Diagnose faults quickly and implement durable fixes to minimize downtime.
• Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete work accurately.
• Uphold electrical codes, plant safety standards, and best practices at all times.
• Partner with maintenance teammates and production to optimize equipment performance.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and parts usage with precision.
• Continuously build skills through training and development opportunities.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
• EITHER a Journeyman’s card OR 4+ years of applicable maintenance experience AND a qualifying score on an assessment administered by Howmet during the interview process.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and a positive approach.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Schedule and pay

Role is assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift in alignment with the collective bargaining agreement.

• Base wage: $43.56 per hour
• Additional Cost-of-Living Adjustment: $4.75 per hour (added to base)
• 2nd shift differential: $0.47 per hour
• 3rd shift differential: $0.78 per hour
• Earn one week of vacation after 6 months of service
