    Description

    Your Day, Powered by Precision

Picture this: the plant is humming at full speed. A heat-treatment unit throws a fault, production halts, and you step in. You trace the issue through a 480V, 3-phase feed, validate readings with your meter set, isolate the failure in the VFD chain, and bring the line back online—safely and efficiently. If that sounds like your kind of day, you’ll thrive here.

    What You’ll Do

    • Build and maintain systems: Assemble, install, test, and service industrial electrical wiring, apparatus, and fixtures using hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
    • Diagnose fast, fix right: Pinpoint issues in circuits and components with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megohmmeters; identify root causes and perform lasting repairs.
    • Connect the powertrain: Wire circuit breakers, transformers, VFDs, and related equipment with craftsmanship and code compliance.
    • Own critical assets: Care for production machinery across heat treatment operations, hydrotesters, and threading lines—plus integrated control systems—ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal codes.
    • Support beyond the panel: Collaborate with multi-trade teammates; assist with mechanical troubleshooting, basic rigging, and plant support needs.
    • Lead with safety: Rigorously follow LOTO, PPE requirements, and all site safety protocols.

    Where You’ll Work

    • At heights using ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops when required.
    • In a heavy industrial setting with heat/cold swings, dust, and dirt, moving with urgency yet safely.
    • Operating forklifts and aerial lifts when certified or once trained and cleared to do so.

    Technical Strengths We Rely On

    • Power distribution: 3-phase systems, 480V, AC/DC equipment, transformers, and industrial power supplies.
    • Controls & automation: PLCs, ladder logic, digital logic, and I/O devices.
    • Motion & drives: Configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of VFDs and AC control equipment.
    • Prints & drawings: Fluency in interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
    • Work style: Self-directed, responsive to operational direction, and able to pivot priorities to meet production needs.

    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
    • Preferred: Active electrician’s license, a 2-year technical degree in electrical technology, or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
    • Availability: Willing to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, weekends, overtime, and respond to emergency call-outs.
    • Background Check: Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical work assessment.

    Core Proficiencies

    • Reading and applying complex electrical schematics
    • Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics in industrial settings
    • Repairing and maintaining industrial electrical systems and heavy equipment
    • National Electrical Code (NEC) familiarity
    • Hands-on experience with industrial power and controls

    Tools, Platforms, and Equipment

    • Motor Control Centers (MCCs) (Allen Bradley, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Eaton)
    • Industrial controls (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, ABB, Omron, Siemens, Schneider Electric)
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens)
