Industrial Painter

Overview:
Prepare surfaces for painting: sanding, grinding, degreasing, and masking
- Stir/mix paint and pour into spray container; apply primer and finish coats using a spray gun
- Operate, clean, and maintain spray painting equipment
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and consistency
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and respirators
- Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and work area
- Track material usage and communicate supply needs to supervisor
- Support the company's Quality Management System and quality policy
Qualifications
- 1+ years of industrial or commercial painting experience preferred
- Familiarity with industrial coatings (primers, epoxies, polyurethanes)
- Experience operating spray guns (airless/conventional)
- Comfortable working in a shop/fabrication environment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OSHA safety training a plus
- Ability to work in a paint booth environment (fumes, heat, noise)
- Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- Use of required PPE including respirator, gloves, and protective clothing
