Industrial Overhead Door & Dock Systems Field Lead and Trainee
Where you’ll work
Multiple roles across Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Metro Detroit, supporting established commercial door and loading dock companies. You’ll join crews known for stability—many technicians have been with these teams for 10–20+ years.
A day in the life
Start your morning at the shop, load the company vehicle with your partner, and head to manufacturing and industrial sites. Your day could include installing a new rolling steel door, troubleshooting a high-speed door, or completing preventive maintenance on a line of dock levelers. You’ll document work on an iPad or tablet and return to the shop to close out tickets before heading home.
What you’ll take on
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial overhead, high-speed, and rolling steel doors
- Install and service loading dock equipment: dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock seals, rail systems, air curtains, and lift equipment
- Blend of new construction projects, service calls, and preventive maintenance for industrial/manufacturing customers
- Two-person crews in a company vehicle; begin and end each day at the shop
