Nucor Advantage Metals Recycling is seeking an Industrial Mechanic in Kansas City, KS to maintain industrial production machinery while serving as a backup stationary and mobile equipment operator. The primary role requires maintaining and repairing equipment in an industrial setting while adhering to strict safety policies. The top requirements are at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, a proven mechanical skillset with basic welding experience, and the ability to operate mobile equipment in varying work conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, stick welding, torch cutting, and repairs on production machinery and equipment using hand tools.
• Equipment Operation: Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, mobile shears, and material handlers, and step in as a backup stationary/mobile equipment operator as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all company and OSHA safety standards, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain clean, safe work areas.
