About the role.

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the care, maintenance, and continued operability of the facility and all associated equipment while adhering to quality specifications, federal regulations, and company policies. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities by effectively executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities that support production, quality, and food safety objectives.

Pay Rate: $35.73 per hour

Shift: B Crew / AM Shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) on a 2-2-3 schedule

What you'll be doing.

  • Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production equipment.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and accurate documentation of maintenance activities within company software systems.
  • Coordinate daily assignments and priorities with the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead.
  • Assist with identifying and procuring repair parts necessary to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Communicate maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and service requirements using radios and digital communication tools.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, environmental standards, and safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.

What you'll need to be successful.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical college or associate degree preferred.
  • 7-15 years of experience working in a mechanical maintenance capacity required.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLCs, drives, servo systems, robotics, and industrial automation equipment.
  • Proficient in TIG welding, metal fabrication, and general machine shop practices.
  • Experience operating lathes, mills, shears, brakes, and ironworker equipment preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new equipment, technologies, and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated digital proficiency with the ability to accurately enter and maintain maintenance data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in varying environmental conditions.

Compensation Package: - Starting at 35.73 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
