Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead extrusion operations and oversee day-to-day production activities. This role is responsible for optimizing manufacturing performance, developing production teams, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop supervisors, leads, and production personnel.
  • Oversee daily extrusion manufacturing operations and production schedules.
  • Monitor productivity, scrap, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Support new product introductions, process transfers, and equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage staffing, training, and employee development activities.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within extrusion operations.
  • 3+ years managing supervisors and production teams.
  • Experience within medical tubing, catheter, wire & cable, plastics extrusion, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, tooling, and process controls.
  • Experience with SPC, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
