Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop supervisors, leads, and production personnel.
- Oversee daily extrusion manufacturing operations and production schedules.
- Monitor productivity, scrap, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for production issues.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Quality teams.
- Support new product introductions, process transfers, and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage staffing, training, and employee development activities.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within extrusion operations.
- 3+ years managing supervisors and production teams.
- Experience within medical tubing, catheter, wire & cable, plastics extrusion, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, tooling, and process controls.
- Experience with SPC, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
