    Description

    Build, repair, and keep production moving

    If you thrive on precision metalwork and keeping equipment in top condition, this role is for you. You’ll fabricate to print, execute high‑quality welds across multiple processes, and support maintenance with reliable repairs that stand up to real‑world demands.

    What you’ll do

    Fabrication & Fitting

    • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine process, materials, and weld sequence.
    • Prep joints by cleaning, grinding, and beveling for accurate fit-up and strong welds.
    • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core on simple to complex assemblies.

    Maintenance & Repair

    • Fabricate custom replacement parts for machinery, structures, and production equipment.
    • Repair and modify frames, brackets, and components to restore functionality.
    • Perform post-weld checks to verify structural integrity and specification conformance.

    Quality & Compliance

    • Meet stringent quality expectations—defect-free welds without cracks, porosity, or undercut.
    • Inspect and test welds, including non-destructive testing as applicable.
    • Ensure work aligns with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements.

    Equipment Setup & Care

    • Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and related shop tools.
    • Configure machines for each job to match material specifications and achieve optimal results.
    • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment safe and reliable.
    • Maintain an orderly workstation with tools and materials stored properly.

    Safety & Housekeeping

    • Use PPE at all times: gloves, welding helmets, face shields, and flame-resistant clothing.
    • Follow LOTO procedures and maintain a fire-safe work zone.
    • Participate in safety audits; identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
    • Control fumes, sparks, and debris to minimize risk.

    Records & Reporting

    • Document materials used, work performed, and any non-conformances.
    • Maintain accurate welding logs and note process issues for future reference.

    Other duties as assigned.
